Client: European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ), Council of Europe

Challenge: Lack of comprehensive data on gender equality in judicial recruitment and promotion across 47 Council of Europe member states. Member states requested evidence-based guidance on how to increase gender diversity in judiciaries.

My Role: Scientific Expert / Lead Researcher

Approach:
* Designed comprehensive qualitative research methodology
* Developed questionnaire covering recruitment processes, career progression, leadership access
* Conducted in-depth analysis of barriers to women’s judicial appointments
* Examined both formal processes and informal institutional dynamics

Deliverables:
* Research report with findings and analysis
* Policy recommendations for member states
* Reform guidelines for judicial authorities
* Presentation to CEPEJ working group

Impact:
* Research report submitted by CEPEJ for member state implementation

Client: International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES)

Challenge: Zambia’s 2021 general elections took place in a politically contentious environment with high risk of electoral violence. The Electoral Commission needed capacity building on conflict management and crisis response.

My Role: Election Support Trainer / Capacity Building Expert

Approach:
* Assisted in designing training curriculum on conflict management for electoral contexts
* Delivered nationwide training across multiple provinces
* Provided technical assistance to electoral commissioners
* Evaluated training effectiveness and provided follow-up support

Deliverables:
* Training curriculum and materials
* Workshop facilitation across provinces
* Capacity building for 76 electoral officials
* Post-training evaluation report

Impact:
* Electoral Commission staff equipped with conflict management tools
